An NAD+ IV and a Myers Cocktail IV do different things, so start with your goal. NAD+, a coenzyme your cells use to produce energy, suits a long term goal: a drip of 90 minutes to two hours that you repeat at least monthly. The Myers is the classic vitamin and mineral drip for a heavy week or a trip. If you're unsure, Key Basis IV suggests the Myers.

How do you choose between NAD+ and a Myers Cocktail IV?

Your goal decides it, because the two drips do very different things. When a client asks me whether to get NAD+ or a Myers, the first thing I ask is: What are your goals? What are you trying to achieve? Is this a long term thing or a short term thing? What are you trying to get relief from, or what benefits are you seeking?

If it's a long term thing and your schedule has room, NAD+ makes sense, because it's something you keep up every month. If you want to be ready for a specific week, the Myers makes more sense. And if a friend asked me which one to try first with no other context, I'd say the Myers. It's more chill and fits more use cases. The infusion also takes less time, and the whole visit runs about 45 minutes.

If you're worried about choosing wrong, I can't think of a client who asked for one and ended up happier with the other. And if you're still deciding, text us your goal at 305-998-0047 and we'll help you choose.

What does an NAD+ IV feel like?

I'd describe the energy from NAD+ as very smooth and consistent, without the ups and downs. NAD+ is a powerful coenzyme found in all of your body's cells. It helps regulate, maintain and, in some ways, produce cellular energy, and the benefits of that are outstanding. You'll find you have a lot more energy throughout the day, more ability to handle stress, and more ability to exercise, run and lift without feeling tired or weak.

There are also studies that point to NAD+ having great benefits for your brain, not only in the present but in the future. In some studies, it has been linked to preventing things like Alzheimer's and other degenerative brain conditions.

The thing people get wrong is expecting NAD+ to feel like a shot of espresso. A shot of espresso is something your body doesn't make, and it puts you into a fight or flight response. To me, NAD+ smooths things out. Imagine repaving a road: you're traveling on it, and all of a sudden there are no more bumps. That's the kind of energy I mean.

How long does an NAD+ IV take?

An NAD+ visit usually takes an hour and a half to two hours, depending on the dose. Apart from the length, it's much like any other infusion. We run it at your pace, so we can go faster if you want, or keep it at a slow drip rate. If you ever feel discomfort, we can slow the drip down immediately, and the feeling usually goes away pretty quickly.

NAD+ is a longer infusion, so if you have the time and it sounds like what you're looking for, go for it. Just know it's something you follow through with: at least once a month, and depending on the dose, maybe even twice a month, after your telehealth exam clears you for it.

The NAD+ IV is $479 for 250mg. It also comes in 125mg and 500mg, and the 500mg is $719. With a membership, you pay half, so the 250mg is $240.

If you're interested in NAD+ but don't want to spend the time sitting, I'd recommend the Niagen IV. The infusion runs 30 to 45 minutes instead of about two hours. Niagen is nicotinamide riboside, a precursor your cells turn into NAD+, so it actually gets absorbed faster, more comfortably and more effectively. It's more expensive, $575 for 125mg or $288 for members, but it's fantastic.

When is a Myers Cocktail the better pick?

The Myers Cocktail is the better pick when you want to be ready for something coming up, like a weekend, a week of work, a trip, a flight, a stressful week with a heavy schedule, or a workout. For any of those, the Myers Cocktail IV is the one to book. It's going to make you feel really good, energize you and give you a great baseline to tackle whatever you have ahead of you.

It's the signature wellness IV formula. Dr. Myers developed it decades ago, and it's the most well known. Every IV company has one, and ours is a saline base with calcium and magnesium, vitamin B complex, vitamin B12 and vitamin C. It's $319, or $160 for members.

IV companies sometimes put their own spin on the Myers, and our Super Immune Boost IV is kind of a take on it. When I get an IV myself, I usually get one or the other. To be honest, the Super Immune Boost is my favorite, but the Myers is a close second.

Who rebooks the Myers Cocktail every month?

Most of our members do, and it's their favorite IV. They include a lot of mothers looking to maintain their health and feel their best, a lot of executives who travel or have crazy schedules, and people of all ages.

Can you get NAD+ and a Myers Cocktail on the same visit?

Yes. Plenty of our clients have found they like to get both. They get an NAD+ IV and then a Myers Cocktail right after, or the other way around. It's a phenomenal combination. Members pay half on both.

NAD+ vs Myers Cocktail IV: common questions

What if the NAD+ drip feels like too much?

Tell your nurse. The drip can be slowed down immediately, and the discomfort usually goes away pretty quickly.

Is NAD+ like a shot of espresso?

No. Espresso puts your body into a fight or flight response, while NAD+ feels more like smooth, consistent energy without the ups and downs.

How often do people get an NAD+ IV?

I'd say at least once a month, and depending on the dose, maybe twice, after your telehealth exam clears you for it. NAD+ is something you follow through with, which is why it suits a long term goal.

Do members pay half on NAD+?

Yes. The 250mg NAD+ IV is $240 for members instead of $479. The membership is $80 a month with no sign up fee, so one NAD+ IV a month comes to $320 with the fee included.

How to book an NAD+ IV or a Myers Cocktail IV with Key Basis IV

Pick your drip on the IV drip menu, then book online or text us at 305-998-0047. A registered nurse from our own team comes to your home, hotel, office or boat and runs the drip at your pace.

Your first appointment includes a $39 telehealth exam. The nurse sets up the device, and you talk with an off site nurse practitioner for about five minutes. You do the exam once per calendar year, and it's complimentary for members.

If NAD+ or the Myers is going to be a monthly thing for you, the membership makes sense. It costs $80 a month with no sign up fee and gets you half off every IV. It pays for itself with your first IV of the month.
