THE LAW
Are Peptides Legal in Florida?
Peptide therapy in Florida starts with a licensed prescriber. With Key Basis IV, a Florida licensed nurse practitioner reviews your health and your labs by video and writes a prescription only when it is right for you. A state licensed 503A compounding pharmacy then prepares your medication.
Compounded medications are not FDA approved. FDA is still reviewing several peptides for compounding, so the rules for some of them may change. Our nurse practitioner prescribes only what a state licensed 503A pharmacy prepares for you.

QUESTIONS
Peptide Therapy FAQ
Do I need a prescription for peptides in Florida?
Yes. Every peptide on this page needs a prescription. To get one, book a telehealth video consult with our Florida licensed nurse practitioner, who reviews your health and labs first and prescribes only what is right for you.
What is peptide therapy?
Peptide therapy is a prescription plan built around a peptide, a short chain of amino acids. A licensed prescriber reviews your health and any labs first and decides whether a peptide fits you. At Key Basis IV, our nurse practitioner prescribes only what a state licensed 503A pharmacy prepares for you.
How do I get a peptide prescription in Florida?
Join the launch list and we will email you the day we open. Then book a video consult with our Florida licensed nurse practitioner, who reviews your health and any labs your peptide needs. If a peptide is right for you and available, the nurse practitioner sends the prescription to a state licensed 503A pharmacy. The pharmacy compounds the peptide and ships it to your Florida address.
Can doctors prescribe peptides in Florida?
Yes. A Florida licensed physician or nurse practitioner can decide, after a medical evaluation, whether a peptide is right for you. Which peptides can be prescribed depends on what a state licensed pharmacy is permitted to prepare. When we open, our Florida licensed nurse practitioner will see you on a video consult.
Can you buy peptides over the counter?
Not the prescription peptides on this page. Those need a prescription from a licensed prescriber. Vials sold online without one are usually labeled for research and "not for human use," and no one checks your health first. At Key Basis IV, our nurse practitioner prescribes only what a state licensed 503A pharmacy prepares for you.
What are compounded peptides?
Compounded peptides are medications that a licensed compounding pharmacy prepares for one patient from a prescription. At Key Basis IV, our nurse practitioner prescribes only what a state licensed 503A pharmacy prepares for you. Compounded medications are not FDA approved and have not been reviewed by FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality.
What is a 503A pharmacy?
A 503A pharmacy is a state licensed pharmacy that prepares medication for an individual patient from a prescription. The name comes from section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, which sets the conditions for this kind of compounding. Compounded medications are not FDA approved.
Can I get peptides through telehealth in Florida?
Telehealth is how our program works. When we open, you will see our Florida licensed nurse practitioner on a video consult, so you do not need to come to a clinic for it. If a peptide is right for you, a state licensed pharmacy ships it to your Florida address. You need to be in Florida for your consult.
Is peptide therapy safe?
Every peptide here starts with a video consult with a Florida licensed nurse practitioner, who reviews your health, medications and any labs your peptide needs and prescribes only what is right for you. Each peptide has its own list of who it is not for, and your nurse practitioner checks in through your whole cycle.
Who should not take peptides?
Each peptide has its own list of who it is not for. Pregnancy and breastfeeding rule out nearly all of them. Cancer rules out many, and for some, any history of cancer does. Other conditions, medications and lab results can rule one out too. Our nurse practitioner reviews your health, medications and labs before prescribing anything.
Are peptides steroids?
Peptides are not steroids. A peptide is a short chain of amino acids, and a steroid is a different kind of molecule built from cholesterol. Being different from a steroid does not tell you whether a peptide is right for you, which is why our nurse practitioner reviews your health first. If you are a tested athlete, tell our nurse practitioner, because some peptides are banned in tested sports.
How do you inject peptides?
Every product on this page is a small injection you give yourself at home on the schedule your prescription sets, under the skin, or into the muscle for glutathione. Your nurse practitioner shows you how on video before your first dose.
Do I need labs first?
Some peptides need current blood work before the first dose, and others do not. Your nurse practitioner tells you which labs your peptides need, and you order them through a lab near you.
Can peptides ship to my home in Florida?
Yes. Once our nurse practitioner writes your prescription, a licensed pharmacy ships it cold to your Florida address.
Do peptides need to be refrigerated?
Prescription peptides from our pharmacy ship cold to your Florida address. The pharmacy label tells you how to store yours, and you can ask your nurse practitioner anything about it when they check in by message.
Do compounded peptides expire?
Yes. Compounded medications carry a date on the pharmacy label after which they should not be used, often called a beyond use date. Store your peptide as the label says and do not use it after that date.
Which prescription peptides can I ask about?
Our Florida menu lists sermorelin, sermorelin + ipamorelin, tesamorelin, tesamorelin + ipamorelin, CJC-1295 + ipamorelin, BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu, MOTS-c, Semax, NAD+, glutathione, vitamin B12 and tirzepatide + B12. Pick every one you are curious about. One consult covers all of them.
Can I ask about more than one peptide?
Yes. Pick every peptide you are curious about. One consult covers all of them. Our nurse practitioner tells you which ones fit you and which can be used together.
Can I get a sermorelin prescription online in Florida?
Sermorelin is on our Florida menu. When it is available, our nurse practitioner reviews your health and labs on a video consult and decides whether it is right for you. Tap Notify me on the sermorelin card and we will email you the day it opens.
Can I get a tesamorelin prescription in Florida?
Tesamorelin is on our Florida menu. When it is available, our nurse practitioner reviews your health and labs on a video consult and decides whether it is right for you. Tap Notify me on the tesamorelin card and we will email you the day it opens.
Can ipamorelin be prescribed?
Ipamorelin is on our Florida menu in three pairings: Sermorelin + Ipamorelin, Tesamorelin + Ipamorelin and CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin. When they are available, our nurse practitioner reviews your health and labs on a video consult and decides which one, if any, is right for you.
Can I get a BPC-157 prescription in Florida?
BPC-157 is on our Florida menu. When it is available, our nurse practitioner reviews your health and labs on a video consult and decides whether it is right for you. Tap Notify me on the BPC-157 card and we will email you the day it opens.
Is BPC-157 legal in Florida?
BPC-157 is prescribed in Florida only by a licensed prescriber and prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy. FDA advisers voted in July 2026 to recommend adding it to the list pharmacies may compound from, and FDA's decision is still pending. Join the list and we will email you the day it opens.
Can I ask about BPC-157 and TB-500 together, the pairing some call the wolverine stack?
Yes. Pick both and tell our nurse practitioner what you are hoping for. Each one is reviewed on its own, and if both are prescribed, each comes in its own vial and starts on its own day, never as a premixed blend. Neither one is a treatment that heals or repairs tissue, and the two are not proven to work better together.
Can I get GHK-Cu, MOTS-c or NAD+ prescribed online?
GHK-Cu, MOTS-c and NAD+ are all on our Florida menu. When each one is available, our nurse practitioner reviews your health and any labs it needs on a video consult and decides whether it is right for you. Tap Notify me on each card you want to hear about.
Can I get a tirzepatide prescription online in Florida?
Tirzepatide + B12 is on our Florida menu. It is a compounded preparation, not the branded drug, and it has not been reviewed by FDA. When it is available, our nurse practitioner reviews your health and labs on a video consult and decides whether it is right for you.
Do I need to live in Florida?
Yes. Our nurse practitioner is licensed in Florida, so you need to be in Florida for your video consult and have a Florida address for shipping.
Is peptide therapy FDA approved?
No. These are compounded prescription medications made by a state licensed 503A pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA approved.
How much do prescription peptides cost?
We will post every peptide price on this page at launch, before you pay anything. Your first video consult with our nurse practitioner is $100, and it is complimentary for Key Basis IV members. If your peptide needs labs, you order and pay for them through a consumer lab. We accept HSA and FSA cards.
Does insurance or Florida Blue cover peptide therapy?
We do not bill insurance, including Florida Blue.
Can I pay with an HSA or FSA card?
Yes. We accept HSA and FSA cards. Prescribed medications are generally an eligible medical expense, so check your plan for the details.
Do members pay less?
The first nurse practitioner consult is complimentary for Key Basis IV members. Peptide prices, including any member pricing, will be posted at launch.
When will peptides be available?
Soon. Join the list and you will be the first to know the day we open. You will also get first access to book and an early sign up credit toward your first order, if prescribed.
How often will you email me?
About once a month until we open. Those emails explain what each peptide is and how the process works. We also email you the day we open. Unsubscribe anytime.
