Do You Tip a Mobile IV Nurse?
Do you tip a mobile IV nurse? It depends on you. At Key Basis IV the price covers the service, and whether you tip comes down to your culture. If you tip people, tip the nurse. If you don't like to tip people, don't. A lot of our clients do tip, about 10% on average, and our nurses really appreciate it. But we don't expect it.

What does the price of a mobile IV already cover?
The price covers the service. That means the nurse coming to you and the visit itself. You can see every price up front on the drip menu.
The one thing it doesn't cover is the nurse's parking. If your building charges for parking or valet, a non member pays what the building charges for the nurse's parking or valet. For members, we cover the nurse's parking or valet.
There is also a $39 telehealth exam at your first appointment. Everyone does it once per calendar year, and for members it is complimentary.
The membership is $80 a month with no sign up fee, and members get 50% off. That takes the Hangover IV from $249 to $125 and the Myers Cocktail IV from $319 to $160. If you are not a member yet, you can get 50% off by joining.
So before your nurse arrives on your first visit, you can add up the whole cost: your drip from the full drip menu, the $39 telehealth exam, and the nurse's parking or valet if your building charges for it.
So, do you tip a mobile IV nurse?
Honestly, I don't know whether you should. It just kind of depends on your culture. Do you tip people or not? If you tip people, then tip the nurse. If you don't like to tip people, then don't tip the nurse.
I usually tip people. That could be someone who does good things for me at a restaurant, the valet guy or whoever. If I see someone is working hard and they do a good thing, I will tip them.
So I can't tell you what to do, but you should do what you think is right.
Do most clients tip their IV nurse?
A lot of them do. I know a lot of our clients tip, and that's beautiful. We really appreciate that, and I know our nurses really, really appreciate that.
But at the same time, we don't expect you to tip if that's not what you normally do. Your nurse is a registered nurse from our own team, and you get the same care and the same visit either way.

How much do people tip for IV therapy?
On average, tips are about 10%. Some are higher and some are lower. On a $249 Hangover IV, 10% comes to about $25.
Tips are usually percentage based, so a higher priced drip tends to bring a higher tip. A long NAD+ IV visit would probably bring a higher tip than a quick drip. The NAD+ IV 250mg is a full length infusion at $479, or $240 for members, so 10% of $479 is about $48. The Saline Hydration IV is the quickest drip at $199, or $100 for members, so 10% of $199 is about $20.
Does tipping change for a group or a late night booking?
For a group, one person will usually do the tipping for the whole group. It depends on whether the group is paying together or separately.
Clients who book late at night usually tip well too. If you book your nurse after a night out, the rule is the same as any other time. Do what you think is right.
But if a friend asked me "do I tip?"
I'd say yes. If you liked the service, you enjoyed the company of your nurse and you think he or she did a good job, then yes, tip.
