Students do not pay the $39 telehealth exam either. The price you see is the price you pay, apart from parking or valet where a building charges for it.
What the Key Basis Student Discount Is
The Key Basis student discount is 40% off the retail price of any IV drip or vitamin shot on our menu, for anyone 18 or over currently enrolled at a college, university, graduate school or professional school in Miami Dade or Broward County.
It applies every time you book, not once. There is no membership to buy, no minimum number of appointments, no subscription and nothing to cancel later. You book, you show a student ID or book from a .edu address, and the price is 40% lower.
It is the same drip, the same nurse and the same bag that everyone else books, and the same appointment length, 30 to 45 minutes, or 90 to 120 minutes for NAD+. The only thing that is different is what you pay.
Who Qualifies for the Student Discount
Anyone 18 or over who is currently enrolled, full time or part time, undergraduate or graduate, at a school in either county.
In Miami Dade: the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida International University at both the Modesto Maidique and Biscayne Bay campuses, Miami Dade College at all eight campuses, Barry University in Miami Shores, St. Thomas University and Florida Memorial University in Miami Gardens, Johnson & Wales in North Miami, Miami International University of Art & Design, and Keiser University Miami.
In Broward: Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Broward College at Fort Lauderdale, Davie, Coconut Creek and Pembroke Pines, Florida Atlantic University at its Fort Lauderdale and Davie campuses, Keiser University Fort Lauderdale, and the University of Fort Lauderdale.
Graduate and professional students qualify too. The Miller School of Medicine, the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine, the law schools at UM and NSU, and every nursing program attached to them.
If your school is not on that list and you are enrolled somewhere in either county, you still qualify. The list is there because people search for their own school by name, not because it is a gate. That price covers the nurse, the appointment, the travel, the bag and every ingredient in it, the vitals check, all the supplies, setup and cleanup, and as much explanation as you want. There is no travel fee anywhere in the service area, and students do not pay the $39 telehealth exam.
The only thing ever added is parking or valet, and only where the building charges for it.

How to Claim the Student Discount
Three ways, all of them take about a minute.
Book from your .edu email address. If the address you book with ends in .edu, the discount is applied automatically. Show the nurse your student ID when they arrive.
Or say so when you book. Tell us on the phone or in the booking notes, and show the nurse a current student ID when they arrive. A photo of it on your phone is fine.
Or text us. 305-998-0047. Tell us your school and what you want, and we will send back a booking link with the price already applied. Show the nurse your student ID when they arrive.
We do not keep a copy of your ID and we do not ask for a class schedule, a transcript or an enrollment letter. The nurse looks at the card and that is the end of it.
Student Discount or Membership, Which Is Actually Cheaper
Worth saying plainly, because the arithmetic does not favor us.
The membership is 50% off rather than 40%, but it costs $80 a month and the student discount costs nothing. So the only thing the membership buys you is the gap between the two prices, and on most of the menu that gap is small: $19 on a Saline Hydration IV, $24 on a Hangover IV, $47 on a NAD+ IV.
On those drips the membership only pays for itself if you book about four inside a single billing month. The big infusions are the exception, because there the gap is bigger than the fee on its own. Niagen runs $57 to $119 a drip, so one of those covers the $80, and two NAD+ infusions do the same.
Across a year, on the ordinary drips, it is not close. Three Hangover IVs in a year costs $447 on the student discount. On the membership the same three cost $455 if you join for one month and cancel, and $1,335 if you hold it all year.
So for almost any student booking on their own, the student discount is cheaper. Take the membership for the reasons that are not about your own price: it covers your whole family, and it covers parking and valet, which the student discount does not. The $39 exam is waived either way.
You can start on the student discount and move to the membership later. Nothing about the student discount is locked, and the membership has no minimum either.
What Students in Miami and Broward Book
This discount is new, so what follows is what students ask us about, not a claim about what they have already bought.
The morning after. The Hangover IV is the drip students ask about most, and usually how they find us. Ultra weekend, Art Basel, spring break, a formal, a birthday, the first weekend of the semester. It is a bag of fluid and electrolytes, and that is all it is.
Finals. The Saline Hydration IV, usually with B Complex or B12 in it. Read the section below before you book this one, because we are going to tell you honestly what it does and does not do.
When something goes round a dorm floor. The Immune Boost IV and the Food Poisoning Fix IV are asked about here too. If you cannot keep water down, say so when you book, because the provider decides what is appropriate and may tell you to be seen in person instead.
Athletes. The Athletic Recovery IV, asked about by club and varsity athletes at UM, FIU, NSU and Broward College. If you compete under drug testing, check with your compliance or sports medicine staff first. Infusions above a small volume are restricted under anti doping rules even when everything in the bag is permitted.
Med and nursing students post call, a genuinely different customer to the rest of this list.
Geographically we expect Coral Gables, Sweetwater and Little Havana around UM and FIU, Davie and western Broward around NSU and Broward College, and Brickell and Downtown for the graduate students who live there. All of it is inside the service area and none of it carries a travel fee.
What an IV Drip Does and Does Not Do for a Student
This section exists because the rest of the internet will not write it.
What it does. It puts fluid, electrolytes and whatever vitamins are in the bag into circulation through a vein instead of through the stomach, so nothing has to be absorbed through the gut. A registered nurse stays with you for the whole infusion.
It will not make you smarter, sharper or better at an exam. There is no vitamin in any bag on this menu that improves cognition, memory or focus, and we do not sell one that claims to. B vitamins are cofactors the body uses in the reactions that release energy from food. That is a statement about biochemistry, not a promise about your finals. If you are foggy after three days of no sleep, the thing that fixes it is sleep.
It is not a study drug. Anyone selling you an IV as academic performance enhancement is selling you something we will not.
It does not clear alcohol from your system. Your liver does that on its own schedule and nothing in a bag speeds it up. What is in the bag is fluid, electrolytes and vitamins, nothing more.
It does not detox anything. Your liver and kidneys do that work, continuously, and no infusion changes their schedule.
It does not prevent illness and nothing in it is a stimulant. It is not a treatment for a medical condition and it is not prescribed as one.
And the plainest one. Most of the time, water, food, salt and sleep will do it, and they cost nothing. We say it plainly and we are not going to stop saying it because the reader is a student on a budget. People book a drip when they are past that point, or when they cannot keep fluids down. That is a real reason and it is the only one we sell against.
Severe dehydration is a medical emergency and belongs in a hospital. If someone is confused, fainting, not passing urine or cannot be woken, call 911. We will say that on the phone rather than take the booking.
Getting a Drip at a Dorm, an Apartment or a Shared House
Yes, and it is the only way we work. A licensed registered nurse brings everything in a case, checks your blood pressure, pulse and oxygen saturation, places the line, stays for the whole infusion, then takes the line out and leaves with all of it. There is nothing to return and nothing to clean up.
Residence halls and campus housing. We go where you can have a guest. If your building requires a visitor to be signed in at a desk, or has a gate, a code or a callbox, put that in the booking notes and the nurse will handle it. If your residence hall does not allow it, book from a friend's apartment off campus, which is what most people do.
Shared apartments and houses. A sofa is fine. A bed is fine. It takes 30 to 45 minutes, or 90 to 120 minutes for NAD+, and you can be on your phone or asleep for all of it.
A parked car is the one place we will not do it. It is not a safe setting for a line and we will move the appointment inside instead.
Every Key Basis IV nurse is a member of our own team, so you know exactly who is coming. If you find a nurse you like, you can book the same nurse again.
Every nurse carries an emergency kit: an epinephrine auto injector, a pulse oximeter, a blood pressure cuff and stethoscope, a charged phone and an anaphylaxis card.
Same day appointments are usually available. Cancellations need 4 hours of notice, and groups of two or more need 8.
Booking for a Group of Students
One nurse can run several people in the same appointment, and it costs no more per person than booking alone.
Everyone in the group who is a student gets the 40% student price. There is no travel fee and no per person surcharge, so four students in a house each pay $149 for a Hangover IV whether they book together or separately. Booking together just means one nurse comes once.
Fraternity and sorority houses, club sport teams and post formal groups are who we expect to use this. Tell us how many people and roughly when, and we will tell you what it takes.
Groups of two or more need 8 hours of cancellation notice. Groups of four or more are charged the price they booked, per person, if cancelled inside that window.
How Much IV Therapy Costs Students in Miami and Broward
The entry price for a mobile IV drip in this market sits between $159 and $299 before anything is discounted.
With the student discount, a Saline Hydration IV from Key Basis is $119 delivered to your door. The Hangover IV is $149. For comparison, these are the providers' own published prices as we read them on 8 September 2026: Drip Hydration's mobile drips start at $249, and Reset IV's basic hydration is $159. Flow IV's Glow IV is $250 mobile. Prime IV in Fort Lauderdale runs a $99 introductory offer, then $119 to $210, and you drive there.
So $119 mobile, with no membership required and no $39 exam charge, is the lowest student price we found published for an at home IV drip in Miami Dade or Broward when we checked on 8 September 2026, among offers that require no membership.

The $39 Telehealth Exam, and Why Students Do Not Pay It
Students do not pay it. That is the short version.
Everyone who is not a student or a member does. Before their first drip of the calendar year, a nurse practitioner reviews and approves the appointment on a short telehealth call, about five minutes. You may see it called a good faith exam, and it costs $39 once a year.
Students still have the call, because it is how a provider approves the drip and it is not optional clinically. You are simply not charged for it.
What to Tell Us Before Your First Drip
Tell us if you are pregnant or think you might be, if you have any kidney or heart condition, if you have ever reacted to an IV or to any of the ingredients, and every medication and supplement you take, including anything prescribed for ADHD, anxiety or depression, and anything you have bought over the counter.
Tell us if you have been vomiting or cannot keep water down at all, because that changes what the provider approves, and in some cases they will not approve a drip at all.
Tell us if you have been drinking in the last few hours. It does not usually stop the appointment, but the nurse needs to know before they check your vitals.
This goes to the nurse practitioner who approves your appointment and to the nurse who sees you, and it is kept in your medical record under our privacy policy. We do not use it for marketing and we do not sell it.
If we cannot get an IV line placed, you are not charged. That is our no stick, no charge policy and it applies to students the same as everyone.
