Magnesium Sulfate
Magnesium is a mineral the body uses in nerve signalling, in muscle tone and in the tone of blood vessel walls. Magnesium sulfate is its injectable form, and it is what a magnesium infusion for migraine is made of. It is given slowly, because it is going into a vein rather than being swallowed.
2
Toradol (Ketorolac)
Toradol is the brand name of ketorolac, a non steroidal anti inflammatory in the same family as ibuprofen and naproxen, in an injectable prescription form. It is not an opioid, and there is nothing habit forming in this bag. It is a short course drug, approved for a few days of use at a time rather than for regular use, and its FDA label carries a boxed warning about bleeding in the stomach and intestines, about the heart and circulation, and about the kidneys. That is why a nurse practitioner rather than the nurse at your door decides whether it is appropriate for you, and why there are real reasons it gets ruled out. Who it is not for is set out further down this page.
3
Ondansetron (Zofran)
A prescription medication given by injection. You may know it under the brand name Zofran.

What Is Actually in the Migraine Cocktail IV
Saline. Sterile salt water at roughly the same concentration as blood, and the fluid everything else is mixed into. It starts at 500ml, and you can have a full litre at no extra cost. Nobody is charged more for the bigger bag.
Magnesium sulfate.

Ondansetron, an anti nausea medication. A prescription medication given by injection. You may know it under the brand name Zofran.
Four ingredients, and no filler. Nothing in this drip is a vitamin.
Why People Book the Migraine IV Drip
A migraine that is already running. This is the situation the drip is built for: it has started, and the usual tablets have not worked.
Nausea that has taken tablets off the table. This is where an IV is different from another pill. If you cannot keep water down you cannot keep a tablet down either, and an IV does not go through the stomach.
A migraine that arrived on the wrong day. A Sunday when the pharmacy is shut and the neurologist is not back until Tuesday. The morning of a flight out of Fort Lauderdale. A work day that cannot move.
A migraine in a hotel room. A hotel room with the blackout curtains drawn is a workable place for an appointment, and the nurse comes to it. Give us the hotel name, the room number and a phone that will be answered, and the nurse comes straight up.
Some people book it after travel, after a stretch of short nights, or after a long day in the sun, when dehydration and a headache have turned up together. If what you have is a dehydration headache rather than a migraine, say so when you book. The Saline Hydration IV at $199, or $100 for members, is cheaper and is often the more honest answer.
Who Should Not Get the Migraine Relief IV
Toradol is the reason screening is stricter here than on the vitamin blends. It is a short course prescription anti inflammatory, and its FDA label carries a boxed warning covering bleeding in the stomach and intestines, the heart and circulation, and the kidneys. None of that makes it unusual as a hospital drug, but it does mean it is not right for everyone, and a nurse practitioner rather than the nurse at your door makes that call. The reasons it is commonly ruled out are kidney disease or reduced kidney function, a history of stomach ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding, a bleeding disorder or blood thinning medication, an allergy or sensitivity to ibuprofen, naproxen or aspirin, aspirin sensitive asthma, heart disease or a history of stroke, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and recent or upcoming surgery.
Magnesium carries its own list. Heart block, myasthenia gravis and significant kidney impairment all matter, and so does magnesium you are already taking by mouth.
Tell the provider on the call what you take and what you have been treated for, including anything over the counter, and say if you have had Toradol or another anti inflammatory injection in the last few days. Nothing is due at booking, so you have not paid for a drip you turn out not to be able to have.
If this one is ruled out, there is usually a drip that is not. The Myers Cocktail IV at $319, or $160 for members, is a saline base with Calcium and Magnesium, Vitamin B-Complex, Vitamin B-12 and Vitamin C, and it carries no prescription medication at all.
The $39 Telehealth Exam, and Why It Matters More on This Drip
Before your first drip of the year, a nurse practitioner reviews the drip you have chosen and approves it. That happens on a short telehealth call, about 5 minutes. You may see it called a good faith exam.
On every drip the practitioner is deciding whether what you have chosen is appropriate for you. On this one there is more to decide, because this drip carries Toradol and ondansetron, both prescription medications, and Toradol has the screening list set out in the section above. It is worth giving the call the full 5 minutes and answering everything you are asked.
It is a separate $39 charge and it is not part of the $299. You pay it once per calendar year rather than every time you book. It is charged at or after the appointment, never at booking. Members do not pay it at all.
How Much Does a Migraine Relief IV Cost in Miami?
The Migraine Relief IV is $299. Members pay $150, which is half price on this and on every other drip. Membership is $80 a month, with no minimum, and you can cancel any time. Non members can get 50% off by joining.
What the $299 covers. The nurse. The appointment itself, 30 to 45 minutes of it. Travel, with no travel fee anywhere in the service area. The bag and every ingredient in it, which starts at 500ml, and you can have a full litre at no extra cost. The vitals check. All supplies, the setup and the cleanup. Any explanation you want while the bag runs, for as long as you want it. And building a custom cocktail if you ask for a specific mix.
What it does not. Two things only. The $39 telehealth exam, once per calendar year. And parking or valet, which only comes up where a building or hotel charges for it.
The $39 exam, in plain terms. Before your first drip of the year, a nurse practitioner reviews and approves it on a short telehealth call, about 5 minutes. You may see it called a good faith exam. It is a separate charge and it is not part of the $299. You pay it once per calendar year rather than every time you book, and it is charged at or after the appointment, never at booking.
What members get on top of half price. Members do not pay for the exam, and members do not pay for parking or valet either. Key Basis covers both. You still have to park; you just do not pay for it. At $299 retail against $150 for members, a migraine relief IV plus the exam is $338 on your first drip of the calendar year, and $150 for a member.
If you want something added. Add-on pushes are $49 each, or $24.50 for members, and your nurse can talk you through what makes sense on the day. We will not sell you an add on that is already in this bag.
Nothing is due at booking. You pay after the appointment, and we accept HSA and FSA. Tips are never expected, and they go to your nurse.

Looking for IV Therapy for Migraines Near Me in Miami or Broward?
We bring the migraine relief IV to Brickell, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne, Miami Beach, Wynwood and Midtown, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Pompano Beach, Coral Springs, Pembroke Pines, Deerfield Beach, Hallandale Beach and Weston.
That is all of Broward County and all of Miami Dade, and there is no travel fee anywhere in either. There is no travel fee anywhere in the service area, and no surcharge for a Broward address.

There is nothing to return and nothing to clean up. At home is the standard here rather than an upgrade, and there is no travel fee anywhere in the service area.
Every Key Basis IV nurse is a member of our own team, so you know exactly who is coming. If you find a nurse you like, you can book the same nurse again.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is in a migraine relief IV drip?
Saline, magnesium sulfate, Toradol, a prescription anti inflammatory, and ondansetron, an anti nausea medication. It starts at 500ml, and you can have a full litre at no extra cost.
How long does a migraine IV drip appointment take?
30 to 45 minutes, from the nurse arriving to the nurse leaving. Most of that is the infusion running.
How much does a migraine IV drip cost in Miami?
$299, or $150 for members. The $39 telehealth exam is a separate charge once per calendar year, it is not part of the drip price, and members do not pay it.
How fast does a migraine IV drip work?
We do not promise a result or a timing. The migraine infusion runs over 30 to 45 minutes and people respond differently to the same drip. Some notice something while it is still running and some do not.
Do I need a prescription for a migraine relief IV?
A nurse practitioner reviews and approves the drip on a short telehealth call, about 5 minutes, before your first drip of the year. This drip carries Toradol and ondansetron, both prescription medications, so on this drip the practitioner has more to screen for before approving it.
Can a nurse bring a migraine IV to me while a migraine is happening?
Yes. That is the situation this drip is built for. Say what you want the room to be when the nurse arrives. Lights off is normal here.
Do you bring migraine relief IV therapy to Broward County?
Yes, and that is the whole county. Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Pompano Beach, Coral Springs, Pembroke Pines, Deerfield Beach, Hallandale Beach and Weston are all normal bookings. The price is the same $299 as Miami and there is no travel fee.
Does the migraine relief IV contain opioids or triptans?
No. Toradol is a non steroidal anti inflammatory, not an opioid. There are no opioids and nothing habit forming in this drip, and we do not carry triptans.
Who should not get a migraine relief IV drip?
Toradol is a short course prescription anti inflammatory with a boxed warning, and it is commonly ruled out for kidney disease, stomach ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding, bleeding disorders or blood thinning medication, an allergy to ibuprofen, naproxen or aspirin, aspirin sensitive asthma, heart disease or a history of stroke, and pregnancy or breastfeeding. The nurse practitioner decides that on the telehealth call.
Can I keep the lights off during a migraine IV therapy appointment?
Yes. Lights off, blinds down and no conversation are all normal on this drip, and you do not have to explain any of them.
Can I book a same day migraine IV drip near me?
Same day appointments are usually available. Call or text 305-998-0047 and we will tell you what is open today.
Can I use HSA or FSA for a migraine IV drip?
Yes, HSA and FSA are both accepted. Nothing is due at booking and you pay after.
