It is a short course prescription anti inflammatory, and its FDA label carries a boxed warning covering bleeding in the stomach and intestines, the heart and circulation, and the kidneys. None of that makes it unusual as a hospital drug, but it does mean it is not right for everyone, and a nurse practitioner rather than the nurse at your door makes that call.
