Lab Work and Eligibility, and This Comes First
A high dose vitamin C infusion requires blood work before your first infusion, without exception. This is not a formality and it is not waived for anybody.
The required tests. A G6PD test, which is mandatory before a first infusion. And kidney function, either creatinine or eGFR.
The required results. G6PD must be normal. eGFR must be above 30 mL/min/1.73m². Clients with moderate kidney impairment, an eGFR between 30 and 45, may require physician review. A history of kidney stones, iron overload, or oxalate nephropathy may disqualify you.
Why G6PD. G6PD deficiency is an inherited enzyme condition, and it is common enough to matter. In a person who has it, a large dose of ascorbic acid can cause red blood cells to break down. That is the entire reason the test is mandatory rather than recommended, and the reason a normal result is a condition of being infused rather than a box we tick.
Why kidney function, stones and oxalate. The body metabolises part of an ascorbic acid load into oxalate, and oxalate is cleared by the kidneys. That is why we screen kidney function before a high dose, and why a history of kidney stones or of oxalate nephropathy is on the list of things that can rule you out.
Why iron overload. Ascorbic acid changes how the body handles iron. If you have been told you have iron overload, or you are managing a condition where iron loading is the issue, tell us at the point you send your labs and expect that to be part of the review.
Tell us about medical conditions, medications and allergies when you send your results, not at the appointment. The provider decides what is appropriate from there, and on this drip that decision is made before anything is scheduled rather than at the door.

Ascorbic Acid
Ascorbic acid is vitamin C. Preservative free means no preservative has been added to the vial, so it cannot be kept once it is opened.
Your approved dose is drawn from single use vials that are opened at your appointment, and the bag is mixed in front of you by your nurse rather than arriving premixed. Once one of those vials is opened it has to be infused, which is why nothing is prepared before the nurse is standing in your kitchen.

How to Get Your Labs and Send Them to Us
We do not run the labs. You have them drawn wherever you like and you send us the results. Your primary care physician, Quest, LabCorp or any comparable provider is fine. If you have had a G6PD test at any point in your life, that result does not expire, so dig it out before you pay for another one.
We do not quote a price for the labs, because it depends entirely on where you have them drawn and what your insurance does with them. It is not a Key Basis charge, we do not mark it up, and none of it comes to us.
Send the results to testing@keybasisiv.com. A Key Basis provider reviews them and we come back to you either way. If you are eligible we help you book from there. If you are not, we say so plainly and we tell you why, and there is no charge for any of that.
That sequence is the honest one and it is the reason this page does not promise you a same day infusion at the top. Once your labs are approved, same day appointments are usually available, as they are on the rest of the menu. Before they are approved, they are not, and we would rather say that here than at your door.

What Is in the High Dose Vitamin C IV
Preservative free ascorbic acid, up to 50g.
A saline base. Sterile saline, the same hospital-grade fluid used in a clinical setting, carrying the ascorbic acid into circulation. The bag starts at 500ml, and you can have a full litre at no extra cost.
Your dose, and what it costs. The $499 covers any dose your provider approves, up to 50g. Going from a smaller approved dose to the full 50g does not change the price. The dose is a clinical decision made off the back of your labs and your history, not a menu upgrade, and the nurse will not raise it on the day because you ask.
Anything else you want in the bag. Add-on pushes are $49 each, or $24.50 for members. Glutathione, zinc, B12, vitamin D3, biotin, a mineral blend, magnesium chloride, an amino blend, calcium chloride and B complex are all available. We will not sell you a vitamin C push alongside a high dose vitamin C infusion, for the obvious reason.
What a High Dose Vitamin C IV Does and Does Not Do
Here is what it is. It is a measured dose of ascorbic acid, up to 50g, delivered into a vein in a saline bag by a registered nurse who stays with you for the whole infusion, after a provider has read your labs and approved it.
Here is what it is not, and this list is on the page deliberately.
It is not a treatment for any disease. It is not prescribed for one, we do not offer it as one, and nothing on this page should be read as saying otherwise. If you are researching high dose vitamin C because of a specific medical condition, that conversation belongs with the physician who is managing that condition. We are not that physician and we will tell you so on the phone.
A high plasma level of vitamin C is a measurement. It is not, by itself, a health outcome, and we are not going to convert one into the other with an adjective.
It does not detox anything. Your liver and your kidneys do that work and nothing in a vitamin C bag changes their schedule.
It will not give you energy. No vitamin in a bag delivers energy the way sleep does.
It does not replace eating properly. Ordinary vitamin C requirements are met by food, and where they are not, an oral supplement costs a few dollars and does the job. Nobody needs a $499 infusion to correct an ordinary dietary shortfall, and we will say that rather than take the booking.
It is not for everybody, which is the whole point of the lab requirement. Some people who want this infusion cannot have it, we find that out from the results rather than from a conversation, and that is a good outcome of a screening test rather than a disappointing one.
One practical note worth having in advance: high dose vitamin C in the bloodstream can interfere with some fingerstick blood glucose meters and give a reading that is not right. If you monitor your blood sugar at home, raise it when you send your labs so the provider can tell you how to handle the day of your infusion.
The $39 Telehealth Exam, and Why It Is Separate
Before your first drip of the year, a nurse practitioner reviews and approves it on a short telehealth call, about 5 minutes. You may see it called a good faith exam. It is the step that makes this a clinical service rather than a delivery, and it is the same call whichever drip you book.
It is a separate $39 charge and it is not part of the $499. You pay it once per calendar year rather than every time you book, and it is charged at or after the appointment, never at booking. Members do not pay it at all.
It is also a different thing from the lab review, and on this page you need both. The lab review is the eligibility decision made off your G6PD and kidney results before anything is scheduled. The $39 exam is the annual telehealth call that covers every drip you have that year. Passing one does not replace the other.
How Much Does a High Dose Vitamin C IV Cost in Miami?
The High Dose Vitamin C IV is $499. Members pay $249, which is half price on this and on every other drip. Membership is $80 a month, with no minimum, and you can cancel any time. Non members can get 50% off by joining.
What the $499 covers. The nurse. The appointment itself, about an hour of it. Travel, with no travel fee anywhere in the service area. The bag and every ingredient in it, which starts at 500ml, and you can have a full litre at no extra cost. The vitals check. All supplies, the setup and the cleanup. Any explanation you want while the bag runs, for as long as you want it. And building a custom cocktail if you ask for a specific mix.
What it does not. Two things on our side. The $39 telehealth exam, once per calendar year. And parking or valet, which only comes up where a building or hotel charges for it.
Your lab work is a separate cost and it is not ours. You pay whoever draws it, at whatever they charge, and we never see that money. We do not quote a figure for it because it depends on where you go and what your insurance does, and any number we published would be wrong for most people.
The $39 exam, in plain terms. Before your first drip of the year, a nurse practitioner reviews and approves it on a short telehealth call, about 5 minutes. You may see it called a good faith exam. It is a separate charge and it is not part of the $499. You pay it once per calendar year rather than every time you book, and it is charged at or after the appointment, never at booking.
What members get on top of half price. Members do not pay for the exam, and members do not pay for parking or valet either. Key Basis covers both. You still have to park; you just do not pay for it. At $499 retail against $249 for members, a high dose vitamin C IV plus the exam is $538 on your first drip of the calendar year, and $249 for a member.
If you want something added. Add-on pushes are $49 each, or $24.50 for members, and your nurse can talk you through what makes sense on the day. We will not sell you an add on that is already in this bag.
Nothing is due at booking. You pay after the appointment, and we accept HSA and FSA. Tips are never expected, and they go to your nurse.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a high dose vitamin C IV?
Preservative free ascorbic acid, up to 50g, mixed into a saline bag and infused by a registered nurse at your home, hotel or office. It requires lab work before your first infusion.
What lab work is required before a high dose vitamin C IV?
A G6PD test, which is mandatory before a first infusion and must come back normal, and kidney function, either creatinine or eGFR, with an eGFR above 30 mL/min/1.73m². An eGFR between 30 and 45 may require physician review.
Do you run the labs for a high dose vitamin C infusion, and what do the labs cost?
No, we do not run them. You have them drawn wherever you like, including your primary care physician, Quest or LabCorp, and you email the results to testing@keybasisiv.com. It is not a Key Basis charge, we do not mark it up, and we do not quote a figure for it, because the cost depends entirely on where you have them drawn and what your insurance does with them. Any number we published would be wrong for most people.
How much does a high dose vitamin C IV cost in Miami?
$499, or $249 for members, at any approved dose up to 50g. Non members also pay a separate $39 telehealth exam, once per calendar year, on top of the drip price. Members do not pay it. Your lab work is billed by whoever draws it and is separate again.
How much vitamin C is in a high dose vitamin C IV?
Up to 50g of preservative free ascorbic acid. The dose your provider approves is based on your labs and your history, and the $499 is the same at any dose up to that ceiling.
Can I book a high dose vitamin C IV before my lab results are back?
No. The results come first, a provider reviews them, and we confirm eligibility before anything is scheduled. Once you are approved, same day appointments are usually available.
Is the vitamin C in a high dose vitamin C IV preservative free?
Yes. No preservative is added to the vials, they are single use, and your bag is mixed at your appointment rather than prepared in advance.
How long does a high dose vitamin C IV appointment take?
About an hour, from the nurse arriving to the nurse leaving. Your nurse confirms the time with you once your dose is set.
Who cannot have a high dose vitamin C IV?
Anyone whose G6PD result is not normal, and anyone with an eGFR at or below 30 mL/min/1.73m². A history of kidney stones, iron overload or oxalate nephropathy may also disqualify you. That is what the screening is for, and we tell you plainly either way at no charge.
Can I get a high dose vitamin C IV at home in Miami?
Yes, once you are approved. A registered nurse comes to your home, hotel, office or boat with everything, mixes the bag in front of you, stays for the whole infusion and packs out afterwards. There is no travel fee anywhere in the service area.
Do you bring high dose vitamin C IV therapy to Broward County?
Yes, and that is the whole county. Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Pompano Beach, Coral Springs, Pembroke Pines, Deerfield Beach, Hallandale Beach and Weston are all normal bookings. The price is the same $499 as Miami and there is no travel fee.
What is the difference between a high dose vitamin C IV and a regular vitamin C drip?
Dose and screening. A high dose vitamin C IV goes up to 50g of ascorbic acid and requires G6PD and kidney labs first, at $499 or $249 for members. The vitamin C in a Myers Cocktail IV, at $319 or $160 for members, is part of a set blend at an ordinary dose and needs no labs.

Other IV Drips, the Menu and Membership
The High Dose Vitamin C IV is one of fifteen drips we bring to you, and it is the one we most often talk somebody out of, either because the labs rule it out or because it is more than they need. If a lighter vitamin C drip is what you are actually after, these are the ones people move to. The Iron IV Infusion is the other drip on our menu that requires lab work before your first appointment, so the sequence you have just read is the same one, and it is $399 for 100mg or $199 for members, and $599 for 200mg or $299 for members. The Myers Cocktail IV is $319, or $160 for members, and puts vitamin C in a set blend with calcium and magnesium, B complex and B12, and it needs no labs. The Glowing Skin IV is $349, or $175 for members, and pairs vitamin C with a glutathione push, biotin, B complex, B12 and zinc. The Recovery IV is $299, or $150 for members, with an amino blend, a mineral blend, vitamin C, B complex and B12, for after hard training. The full IV drip menu runs from $199 to $1,199 across all fifteen drips. Membership is $80 a month and makes every drip half price, with no minimum and cancel any time.
